Wake me up when september ends--Green day

This song truly woke me up on the end of the september and made me want to write something on this deserted blog. Today, while I was still whistling with the goddam quotation for the customer in the office, the melody just suddenly popped out in my head without any signs. Maybe it's the cool wheather reminds me of the Autumn's comming. The melody of '' Wake me up when september ends" is such good company and comfort for someone like me riding his motorbike in a cool and wet morning to his Fucking working place. (above photo from wiki photo data)

It's title came from Green day's vocal, Billie. His dad passed away on the Sep. 1st, 1982. At the funeral, his hid himself in the bedroom crying. His mom knocked his door, and he just simply replied: wake me up when september ends. Then that's the title's origin. But the MV has nothing to do with Billie's dad at all, but about reflection on the aftermath of 911 accident. It seems to correspond with the topic of Album's topic--American. (Even though, I still can't figure out what it has anything to do with 911) For more detils plz refer to wiki-wake me up when september ends.

Anyway, the Autumn is my loved season with its cool wind and cosy temperature. Though it's the transition from life to death, I still like its cheerless and melancholy character. It's perfectly appropriate for my personality which is neither too hot nor too cold. Everything just goes so low-porofiled and flatly. Another reason for my preference to the fall is the month of my birth is on Oct. Oh yeah~ September finally ends and COOL October is comming now!!!
Cheer up~Dude. Keep living and fighting for this shit-like LIFE.

Lyrics:
"Wake Me Up When September Ends"

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends

like my father's come to pass
seven years has gone so fast
wake me up when September ends

here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when September ends

summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends

ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when September ends

here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are

as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when September ends

Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends

like my father's come to pass
twenty years has gone so fast
wake me up when September ends
wake me up when September ends
wake me up when September ends

Tears of Yesterday-- Hoobastank

It's been a long pause that I haven't updated this blog. During this period, many things happend. I get one new job and quit another job. Now I am striving to pass the probation(3 months) and also thinking about what my future will be? I haven't listen to the music I loved for such a long time due to the working pressure.(right photo is from JulyYu)

My life seems to be occupied by my work.
This weekend, I decide to go back to the embrace of music. My music file contains scores of songs that I didn't listen to before. Some times I will play them randomly to find out some good songs that I skipped before.Yesterday when I turned on music player to play my song list randomly, one song is just played out and draw my attention. It's '' Tears of Yesterday" by Hoobastank in their lateset album "For(n)ever". This song is another good work they created since their most popular single "the reason"

(from hockeyis4every1's youtube )

When I was soaked in the sound of my favorite song, everything seems to be not so important and every problem will be not so serious anymore. Hope there will be more good songs that I can listen to in my life. Or such a boring and tedious life is truly a torture for me. By the way, the Hoobastank will come to Taiwan this August for the concert with Linkin Park & All American Reject. Due to the short of money, it's such a pity that I can't be there to join the concert. Any way, it's still good to hear that so many famous rock band will come to Taiwan. Wish one day I could join the live concert too.

Tears Of Yesterday lyrics
I write your name in my breath on the window

Sit and watch as it fades away

The painful memories Of the tears of yesterday

The sky is cold and gray

Just like it was when we both went our separate ways

And the rain won't wash away
All the dirt of my mistakes

So I write your name in my breath on the window
Sit and watch as it fades away
The painful memories
Of the tears of yesterday
The deafening sound of rain

Its not enough to drown my thoughts to ease the pain

So instead I'll soak it in

While I stare outside again

And I write your name in my breath on the window

Sit and watch as it fades away

The painful memories Of the tears of yesterday
I try so hard but I can't seem to let go
I lost so much when you walked away
The painful memories Of the tears of yesterday

The sun just won't seem to come out Not since you walked away

Now I cannot escape

I cannot escape the rain

The rain
So I write your name in my breath on the window

Sit and watch as it fades away

The painful memories
Of the tears of yesterday
I try so hard but I can't seem to let go
I lost so much when you walked away

The painful memories Of the tears of yesterday
Yesterday Yesterday

The masterplan-- Oasis

Masterplan Lyrics

Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
Sail them home with acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
Say it loud and sing it proud
Today...

And then dance if you want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know --How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let us understand
We're all part of the masterplan

Say it loud and sing it proud
Today...
I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all the things that come our way
Coz everything that's been has past

The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
On life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud
And they...

Will dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know --
How it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
Why we're all part of the masterplan

Duran Duran。(left photo- vocal of BFS, Reddick - from wiki)

(right photo is the White snake from the world's best ever )

why don't you get a job by the Offspring

為了勉勵自己,我這次選了offspring的why don't you get a job?(above photo is from Issac Leedom)

Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace Kristy, Are you doing okay? (the above photo is from Chulipichuli)

Why don't you get a job? I won't pay, I won't pay"來表達他們的憤怒。

Lyrics Translation

Console me in my darkest hour
Convince me that the truth is always grey
Caress me in your velvet chair
Conceal me from the ghost you cast away

I ain't in no hurry, you go run
And tell your friends I'm losing touch
Fill their heads with rumours of impending doom
It must be true

Console me in my darkest hour
And tell me that you always hear my cries
I wonder what you've got conspired
I'm sure it dawns the consolation prize

I ain't in no hurry, you go run
And tell your friends I'm losing touch
Fill the night with stories, the legend grows
Of how you got lost

But you made your way back home
You sold your soul, like a roaming vagabond, yeah

I heard you found a wishing well
In the city
Console me in my darkest hour (in my darkest hour)
And you throw me down
I ain't in no hurry, you go run
And tell your friends I'm losing touch
Fill your crown with rumours
Impending doom, it must be true

But you made your way back home
You sold your soul, like a roaming vagabond

And about how you got lost, but you made your way back home
You went and sold your soul,
an allegiance dead and gone
I'm losing touch

The man who can't be moved-- The Script

Lyrics Translation

The Man Who Can't Be Moved(下面只有歌曲和專輯封面可分享 如要看Mv請按這裡)

(the above music provided from norikanjiji0103)

Lyrics
Going back to the corner where I first saw you,
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag. I'm not gonna move,
Got some words on cardboard got your picture in my hand,
Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am,
Some try to hand me money they don't understand,
I'm not... broke I'm just a broken hearted man,
I know it makes no sense, but what else can I do,
How can I move on when I've been in love with you...

Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me,
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet,
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street.
So I'm not moving...
I'm not moving.
Policeman says son you can't stay here,
I said there's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day, a month, a year,
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows,
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go.

I'm not moving...
I'm not moving.
People talk about the guy
Whos waiting on a girl...
Oohoohwoo

There are no holes in his shoes
But a big hole in his world...
Hmmmm

Maybe I'll get famous as man who can't be moved,
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news,
And you'll come running to the corner...
Cos you'll know it's just for you

I'm the man who can't be moved
I'm the man who can't be moved...

Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me,
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet,
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street.

[Repeat in background]

So I'm not moving...
I'm not moving.

I'm not moving...
I'm not moving.
Going back to the corner where I first saw you,
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag not I'm not gonna move.

Blog or not

Like jogging, managing a blog takes much patience and willpower. In the last weeks I found that my passion to blog seems to fade out.(The patience and willpower seems to be gone) Recently I haven't updated my blog for several weeks. And that could be a warning for the end of my blog. But a voice in my mind said " not again! " It reminded me that I used to start doing one thing heartily then end it rapidly and shortly. To avoid the same thing happens to me, I think I need to get my passion back and find the motive that drives me to keep the blog.(left photo from Frédéric de Villamil)

Soliloquy :

Q:Why did you wanna create this blog?
A: I like listening to the music. A personal music blog could push me to accumulate more music information and find more good and new song and know more fantastic artists or bands. And writing something could keep my brain working and prevent me from getting dull because of the meaningless and idiotic military life.

Q: But why do you not keep writing new article?
A: um... Writing a new article takes me much time, but I don't have much time to do it while I am still under the obligation to serve my country's army. Every weekend when I was home, all I wanna do is sleep and stay relaxed. For me, managing a blog is a burden. .......

Q: Did you really think you don't have enough time to keep your blog moving?
A: ...um (smile) all right, You got me. Frankly I am just a lazy blogger. I am just too lax to update my blog. All the reasons I mentioned before was just excuses. It's all my fault. No excuses.

Q: .....
A: .....

Q: So ... What are you waiting for?
A: um... I am thinking whether there is an easier way to write an article and it won't make my article shallow and none want to visit.

Q: Good start!
A: .........(considering)

Q: How about translating the dispatches from foreign news agencies?
A: um.... Sounds great!

Q: And you can add some lyrics translations of your favorite songs.
A: Wow.. it seems to be cool. In that way I can practice my translation skill and introduce them to visitors of my blog.

Q: So you can update your blog without taking too much time and they could keep you state-of-the- art on the news about music (especially western music).
A: Yeh! It seems you are more qualified to manage my blog. Why don't you write some articles for this blog!

Q: ....(puzzling)
A: ...? why not?

Q: Because I am you and you are me. Understand yet?
A: ...Wow! Sorry, I forgot that I am soliloquizing.

Palbasha Siddque-- Praan

(下圖源自king5.com)

(右下圖源自Amazon.com)

Footnote:

The lyrics are based off a poem.
From Gitanjali by Rabindranath Tagore (sung by Palbasha Siddique).

“Stream of Life”

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

Travis--Writing to reach you

(left photo from http://www.wretch.cc/blog/kigura/11679177)

第二張專輯的主打歌"why does it always rain on me?" 甚至被NME嘲諷說如果Travis不要去嘗試悲傷和古典的音樂,那麼他們會是個很棒的樂團("Travis will be best when they stop trying to make sad, classic records" - NME)。但是一個團如果注定要紅,連老天爺都會幫他一把,就在那年的Glastonbury Festival中,上台演唱"why does it always rain on me? What is a wonderwall anyway?" (裡頭出現的歌曲包括greeday 的Boulevard of broken dreams、travis的 writing to reach you、oasis 的wonderwall以及 Aerosmith 的dream on)

Lyrics

Every day I wake up and it's Sunday
Whatever's in my head won't go away
The radio is playing all the usual
And what's a wonderwall anyway

Because my inside is outside
My right side's on the left side
'Cos I'm writing to reach you
But I might never reach you
I long to teach you about you
But that's not you

It's good to know that you are home for Christmas
It's good to know that you are doing well
It's good to know that you all know I'm hurting
It's good to know I'm feeling not so well

Because my inside is outside
My right side's on the left side
'Cos I'm writing to reach you
But I might never reach you
I long to teach you about you
But that's not you
Do you know it's true
And that won't do

Maybe then tomorrow will be Monday
And whatever's in my head should go away
Still the radio keeps playing all the usual
And what's a wonderwall anyway

Because my inside is outside
My right side's on the left side
'Cos I'm writing to reach you
But I might never reach you
I long to teach you about you
But that's not you
Do you know it's true
And that won't do
You know it's you
I'm talking to

James Blunt--Because I love you & sugar coated

然而隨著back to bedlam的成功,使得他在2007年的第二張錄音室專輯all the lost souls手到許多樂評兩極化的評價,然而個人認為all the lost souls收錄許多跟第一張比起來毫不遜色的歌曲,像是其中的1973也是James繼you're beautiful之後又另一首膾炙人口的歌曲,還有電影ps I love you 中的插曲the same mistake,以及carry you home等,也都電台播放和單曲排行榜的常客。

Lyrics : sugar coated

I'm on a bus. I'm in a rush.
I would catch a cab, but I'm not that fussed.
Another day. Another dime.
I know some might say, that I'm wasting time.
And then at night, another fight,
And I don't know what it means but I'd never cause a scene.

I'm gonna make today sugar-coated.
I'm gonna get so high I'm lying here on the floor.
It's time these shoes of mine were fully loaded.
It's time to sit back and smile.
I've had a smoke and it's been a while.
It's been a while.

Hello dawn. It's good to be.
Did I pay for the girl lying next to me?
I had a love, but little luck.
I don't bleed any more 'cause my heart's been crushed.
And now I'm free - lucky me.
Yeah my girlfriend was a bore, she don't love me anymore.

I'm gonna make today sugar-coated.
I'm gonna get so high I'm lying here on the floor.
It's time these shoes of mine were fully loaded.
It's time to sit back and smile.
I've had a smoke and it's been a while.
It's been a while.

A little hush. A little rush.
I guess now we'll see, if I'm big enough.
Finally it's only me.
Things will never be the same. There's no living life again.

I'm gonna make today sugar-coated.
I'm gonna get so high I'm lying here on the floor.
It's time these shoes of mine were fully loaded.
It's time to sit back and smile.
I've had a smoke and it's been a while.
It's been a while.
